The earliest Clinton I have record of is Henry who seemed to have fathered 2 illeg children - John of 1730 by Alice Hutchin als yearnach (of Kearnach) tho will of Alice Gawn 1759 in Kk Patrick mentions her son John Clinton (who I think is bur 1797 noted of Ballacallin daubey but there are 3 marriages of John Clinton's in Patk around same time all noted as widowers )
Alice Gawn also mentions dau Cath Starky - there is a deed of sale dated 20 nov 1765;Matthew Cottier(Braddan) + wife Cath als Starkey sell for 24s to John Clinton(Kk Patk) house in Glenmoij adj rent of Anne Radcliffe in east, highway to south + west and John Killey on north (rent 0.5d);witt paul quirk x, Wm Quirk;barony court describes as bill of mortgage

Henry would appear to have had a dau Isable by Jony Kneal in Lezayre in 1736 but no record of his marr, death nor any property transaction I can see

to return to John - he married Christian Clark in 1755 who d 1791 by whom he had 2 ch John + Jony - John senr m Jony Quay in 1793, John junr married Isabella karran with his fa's permission
