Hi Sue,
Very sorry to hear about Brian's passing. I was just getting to know him through his forum responses, and now his website. What a daunting task! It takes a certain type of dedication to make it your life's work. It was through Brian's Will index/transcripts I was able to follow Elizabeth Callow's family line (1722-1797) married to Thomas Mylvorrey (1725-1786) daughter of William Callow (1684-1766) son of Robert Callow (1654-1731) son of William Callow (1629-1676) a Manx-born Quaker of "Callow y Ballafayle", who, with his family and friends, suffered through his life, and is finally laid to rest in Ruillick-ny-Quakeryn, Maughold. I was so thrilled when I found all of this within minutes of searching! Without people like Brian Lawson, Ian Radcliffe and yourself, (& Frances) all that information would have been near impossible to find going through the ordinary methods. Especially for some like myself, who are in another part of the world with no access to Island records. So I thank you all for being so knowledgeable about your Island history and sharing it!
fond regards,
Brenda
