I tend to batch items for putting online (the 'master' computer used for this is off most of time whereas I use a couple of laptops for transcription (one has a 2TB drive with well over 100,000 photos the other is the one I'm using to enter info into database)

I have also just put an 1892 trade directory online so plenty of other work to do
