These will extracts are so useful. Thank you Frances for continuing to do them for us.
#'s 1,2,4 all help fill in the Ballafreer family of my previous message note. Nicholas of 1705 is the father, and I now know there's a 5th son, Thomas. His baptism 28 Sep 1692 makes him 13 in Dec 1705, so underage as expected. Alice is underage in 1705 too, likely abt 1695 but no baptism in Marown register (which is a copy of an original tattered version). I relooked at the first 1671 child and I now think it might he "Elnor". The MNB "Kewleys of Ballafreer" says that there were 5 sons and 4 daughters. The 4th daughter might be Ann 3 Dec 1679, who I'd placed with Nic K & Isabel Gelling of Ballakelly, but that can't be right (didn't marry until 1688). The mother Elinor Kewley als Cannon 1724/5 does not mention eldest son John (perhaps because he was already heir), and neither parent mentioned daughters Ellr & Ann (taken care of by marriage?).
#5 Isable Kewley als Gellin is a different Kewley family. MNB MC states she was to marry Nicholas Kewley s/o Robert Kewley (Marown) & wife Cath about 11 Dec 1688, Nicholas to be heir Ballakelly. Their son Patrick bp 8 Mar 1691/92 was of Ballakelly with baptisms of his children Elizabeth and Alice 1724 & 1726. I think Patrick's wife will be Jane Gell, died 1755 with a will not yet in MNB. Patrick's 1770-2 is in MNB. Patrick's father Nicholas is I think the 1726 MNB Marown extract which states son Nicholas admr and other children had m/cs. Until now, I thought one of the two Nicholas's baptized a year apart 1682-3 would belong here, but that's well before the 1688 marriage to Isab Gelling. My new thought is that those two Nicholas's belong to the Ballafreer family, and the first one must have died infant. The Nicholas s/o NK&IG could be prior to Patrick 1692, or more likely somewhere in the years after because he's not the heir, and before Ann 1703. Can't find it though. TBD.
#3 John Kewley of Braide I'll talk about in another thread.
