William Clague married Margaret Kennaugh (she was baptised 14 April 1689, Malew, daughter of William K.). They married on 4 December, 1716 at Malew. I believe Margaret (b. 1689 (was the daughter of William Kennaugh and Margaret Curry?

Note: There is a baptism for a Dorothy Clague on 8 March 1719, father is William Clague.

This William Kennaugh (b. 1676, d. 1738, ) was, baptised at German, 21 September, 1676, son of Phillip Kennaugh. It seems this William Kennaugh (1676) and Margaret Curry family are mostly based in German, whereas Gilbert Kennaugh and Marriott Qualtrough are Malew. I cannot find a baptism for Gilbert Kennaugh anywhere (born about 1670 but possibly earlier?). Unfortunately there are gaps in the German parish registers so not able to get a complete picture.

Why would Marriott Kennaugh/Qualtrough name her daughter's youngest daughter, Dorothy, in her will when, in fact, it appears that Dorothy is the grandchild of William Kennaugh, not Gilbert Kennaugh?
