Re: William CORKILL & Catharine KELLY Maughold

I'm not certain either, but like it better than anything else that I can see. I hope some other evidence is found to either confirm or reject any of the suggestions.

The Robert I picked to be the same person is:
1841 age 30 (usually rounded down in 1841) Farmer in Maughold with Jane (Hogg) 30, Mary 9, John 7, Daniel 3.
1851 age 42 Tailor in Braddan, widower. A visitor is William Callow 25 b Maughold who has the same surname as his mother Mary Callow, which could be coincidental or not.
1861 age 50 Ag Lab with wife Jane (Quine) 37, 2 stepdau's , son William 5 and dau Emily 2.
1871 age 60 Tailor with wife Jane 48, dau Emily 8 and a grandson William Moore 2.

All ages are nice round numbers except 1851 which would be correct if this is the right guy. He's a tailor in both 1851 & 1871, and a farmer or ag lab in 1841 & 1861. The two tailor occupations convinced me, combined with being a widower at both 2nd and 3rd marriages and in 1851 and the Janes were the only candidates for this.

Robert was deceased by 1881 as his wife is a widow in Onchan with son in law and dau William & Ellen Fell (she is 21 b Onchan) . No burial for Robert in Brian's burial list, but the IGI has a death 11 Feb 1880 Douglas age 77 of Robert Corkill, widowed, Labourer, spouse's name Jane Corkill. Age is too high and he wasn't a widower, so I'm now rather dubious this is him. But if not, who is it?

The three Jane Corkill burials are confusing to me. Please explain what "Dick" means and why it would point to Ballajora?
I assume "Dick" is Richard, but I don't get the connection.
"Davy" I guess refers to David Corkill's family, which hints to me this is the right one. But I think David died in 1835 so I don't know why, unless his widow is still alive.
Only the last one has an age? That's too bad.
