Hi Averil. Thanks for doing all those lookups. The Vick family in Braddan is a different one though from Cath Fick/Vick's. Cath's family appears in Patrick and have surname Fick in the 1861 and 1871 census - they seem to become Vicks after that.

I had a look in the census for WillIam Henry Watterson - didn't find a Wm Henry that looked right (widowed, 'reasonable' age range to be Cath's husband) and there are some William Wattersons listed in the fishing fleet but I couldn't see a good way to try to connect any with Catherine or a father John Watterson.

I will have a further look at Thos Alfred Watterson's parents.
