Two Thomas Mylreas of Malew

Hi Frances - So much to absorb in your Ballaquaile & Fildraw expose. I have a different take on the two Thomas Mylreas - how does this thinking sit?
1. Thomas Mylrea husband of Kath Bell and father to the beknighted Joney did in fact remarry. His second wife was Margaret Waterson m1702 (which contradicts the 1703 judgement, I know). THIS Thomas Mylrea died 1723, Joney described as non-compos mentis in his will. She died the following year. His widow arranged a Marriage Contract for the other daughter Margery to William Gawne 1724. This Thomas was the son of Thomas Mylrea & Margaret Gellin, born 1672.
2. The OTHER Thomas Mylrea was the son of John Mylrea & Elizabeth Shimmin, and had a Marriage Contract formulated with Joney Kinley in 1712 so born about 1685-90. He died in 1728, left nothing to his wife who was still alive, and everything to his two sisters Elizabeth Norris & Catherine Mylrea. The men in this latter family group exhibited a degree of disfunction - father disinherited everyone, son Charles apparently with no marriage contract or seemingly without substance, other son Thomas ignored his wife.
Now, back to your analysis for more thoughts!
