Hi
A bit confused on this one. The only Otho found in my research is a brother to my great great grandfather born 1825 died 1903 at Ladybarn Manchester. He had been married to Caroline nee Wadsworth who had died 1888. None of their children had been named Otho. However I have not researched any branches past 1900 except my direct line. I have been researching the family together with my cousin in Canada and have sent her a copy of your message to see if she can throw any light on it.
My Wyldes originated from Derbyshire and a number of them migrated to Manchester in the first half of the 1800's probably for work. From there several came of the Isle of Man fort short periods but all returned or died. My great grandfather came her in the 1880's from Cumberland where my grandfather settled and married a local girl.
The Chorlton Wyldes I have found are decended from James Wylde who for a short period was a dentist in the Island and died her in 1898. His body was taken back to Manchester by his daughter Mary Cordelia Wylde.
If I have any other info. I will let you know
Regards
Richard Wylde
