Using Lib Vast I have now discovered that April 1823 John Caine [Mary Cannell] had died and son John Caine [Liargaish] was entered for Orristal 4s4d part of 1-11-4 / and Rencullen 2s part of 1-10 or 1-16-0 / also Intack no1 1s 7.5d of 5s 4d.
Intack No1 was owned by Glen of the Geese Caines in 1696.

John Caine bpt ...... m Mary Cannell
John Caine bpt 1715 m 1729 Xtian Cowley
Wm Caine..bpt 1684.m 1713 Mary Cannell
Wm Caine...............m 1674 Mally Quaile bpt 1654

If that is the case it was John not Isabel who was 'of Glion y gaie'.

Surprised there is no mc for John Caine marrying Mary Cannell.

Does anyone know what Liargaish means please ? It may give another clue !!!

And the William Caine who married Mally Quaile is 'of Kinegerye' Just wondered if that may be Carnegrie Foxdale ??

I suppose I need to now trace the Rencullen 2s part of the 1-10-0 or 1-16-0 [need to find a clearer copy].
