hi allen, i am in toronto and was able to order films from the l d s for births, marriages and deaths for the places i am researcing in the isle of man and the film for peel has a number of other places in it and the one for douglas has other places in, so in 3 films i can almost cover the island for marriages and the same for deaths, it took 3 weeks to arrive but i took them long term and i can go to the local church library and pull them out of the drawer and look for the person i need and the page and volume numbers are there, my sister then sends for the certificate, the cost of getting the films far outweighs the extra cost charged if you do not have that info especially if you need a lot of certificates
