The Civil Registry requires that each request for a death certificate carries the register page and entry number, but deems those used in the ManxBMD index to be inapplicable. I assume that the Registry would not ask for information it knows to be generally inaccessible so, somewhere, there must be a suitable index for the public to consult. Where might this be, and how can I accesss it?
