I have hit a dead end in my family tree research.
Can anyone tell me more about Eleanor Clucas, born abt 1803, Castletown, Isle of Man?
She married William Hughes, a sail maker, in 1830 in Lancashire, Liverpool. They continued to live in that area.
My great uncle (born was 1907) was named Horace Clucas Hughes in memory of her though we have never really known much about the origin of the name until recently.
