For anyone on Vista and beyond there is a function called "Snipping Tool" that acts like a refined version of the old Print Screen Routine. I have it on my task bar and once you click it you can drag a box around anything on screen and paste it into a Word document or save it as a JPG. Very quick and positive when you want to copy things like will abstacts and original census scans.
