if you are using the census (latest 1911) then Kates Cottage a cognomen that arose during commentaries on the TT would not have come into being - this year was the centenary of the 1st race using the mountain course. Possible names might be Keppel - I presume you have acquired a map (I'd recommend the 2 sheet public rights of way as larger scale + a good amount of detail) then you should be able to locate adjacent properties tho the whole area is sparsely populated - the grid ref I gave should allow you to see area on google maps
