Re: Catherine Kermode, wife of Henry Skillicorn

Hi Lois, Just a quick reply whilst I marshall my thoughts! - The major reason for assigning the same Thomas Skillicorn to both Isabel Callow and Joney Kermod was that in the Wills of 1784 &1799 the same children were named - Thomas (eldest), Philip, James, Charles and Elinor [ there was an additional Mary in 1799]; also both Wills made specific mention of them owning "a house in Douglas". In 1799 there were 5 u/a children reported, one "not 2 years old" - these seemed more likely to be of a later marriage. One of the next of kin to Joney was named Danl Kermode - I have not pursued this, but will do so shortly.
Finally I can't find a record for Joney Killey/Thomas Skillicorn - can you point me in the right direction? Also there doesn't seem to be an online Will for Joney Callow 1809 Maughold, so I wasn't aware of her naming Henry's widow.
I had thought of putting together a database in Excel / Works of all Lonan Skillicorn families, but it's a mammoth task!
