Karen....just found the info on the postcard sent to James Cowell. This is the way I read it and it looks like it was written in pencil. "Dear James We are here for the day with the family Charlie and Harry and I" it then got harder to read but it looked like "it is a lovely day" (or place) The name "Emma" was on it near the bottom but couldn't make out if she was the sender or just another name that had been mentioned. The photograph on front of the postcard was The Lady Isabella 2 and her crew which included my grandfather, Albert Palmer, and his best friend John Crix. Card was posted in Ramsey at 8.30pm "JY 17 07" Charlie and Harry may mean something to you?
