Re: Accomdations
In Response To: Re: Accomdations ()

Dear Mr. Crowe,
I have the called THE LANDSDOWNE GUEST HOUSE, The Aaron House and The Edelweiss, we did like how close the LANDSDOWNE is to the Museum, which is where we want to go first, and then off to Ballaugh and Kirk Michael, then to Peel, then over to Leicester, and Ireland, London, and back up to Oxford, Yorkshire, and back to USA, so a month is our plan of stay, I shall say I spoke with the propieter of the Landsdown , very friendly and warm as you stated, and that is what I had rather stay where the atmosphere is of that nature over, style and price, we have stayed at a B AND B in Leicester , Edwardian, and run by a lovely family, which we had both style and friendliness and a full English breakfast each morning and many other amenities, at a great price, so I do appreciate you took the time to reply and give a heads up on this Guest house. For coming over and not knowing what the accomodations are in Douglas, that would be suitable to our needs and plans, whereby we know about Ballaugh, and Kirk Michael, we did not want to stay where it is a PARTY house all night long, for we have heard there are many Party houses in Douglas, that never shut down the night life. Which, I AM VERY CONSERVATIVE, AND THAT WOULD NOT GO WELL WITH ME NOR MY HUSBAND. We are old school, and want to enjoy the day of activities and have a very restful night to began the new day, I do not care if room catering is not availble, but I do care if my rest is disturbed. Again, thank you for replying and I did call and the owner seemed very gracious and accomodating to our needs and the location for my Museum treks while staying in Douglas. It is nice to know that you took the time to give us this information, for it saves me from disaster, as one commercial here in the USA, you plan your trip and the accomdations look great, but when you get there, total disaster, again, thank you for your kindness and Frances also for replying, but tis hard to really find out unless some one has been there and had the experience of the stay.

Have a lovely day.

Mrs. Rosa
