Yes, I thought that was what I wrote - using the batch number site I gave, only the records extracted from the parish registers will show up, not the patron submitted records. Resulting in large numbers of missing records.
Yes, the submitted records are contained in wholly separate batch numbers. But no, the submitted records do overwrite extracted records in the IGI unless they have been submitted with slightly different details, and unfortunately they do not exist side by side. If they did there would be no problem.
The entries to which I was referring were:
Marriage between WILLIAM CAREN & JANE CALLISTER on 28 OCT 1817 Braddan.
Jane CARREN Christening: 14 JUN 1818 Parish Of St George, Douglas.
Bapts for any of the children of William KARRIN & Jane CALLISTER other than Edwd Christening: 24 JUL 1822 Saint Mathews, Douglas.
Where are the extracted entries on the IGI for these? They do not exist side by side with the submitted entries.
There is no way of knowing whether or not the submitted entries appear in the parish register, whether they are based on family information, or whether they are guesses.
It is very good news if the IGI records brought into the LDS New Family Search website will be extracted records only. Hopefully they will work from the new indexes.
