Thanks, but if you search by batch numbers (e.g. at freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyIsle_Of_Man.htm) it omits the parish register extracts which have been overwritten by members' entries which may or may not be correct. This is the problem I was describing, and why people need to look at the filmed copies to find the parish register information. Some genealogical society libraries and FHCs still hold the old LDS fiche or CDs which don't have members' entries and therefore contain only parish register extracts, but I haven't seen these online. If you have an online source where par reg extracts haven't been deleted in favour of members' submissions please post the web address. Put a space in ht tp and it won't be rejected.
