In one of my first messages to you on this thread I included:
James Ratcliff b.c.1630-1689, of Belfast
John b.c.1635 - 1669 of Crot-e-Lough.

John was Carol's and my ancestor, and James was Ian's - so the connection between our families is a long way back, and to the Ballakelly (your) ones, even longer. And neither Ian nor Carol have a connection to Alice Brew, so far as I am aware.
