Hi Sue! Yes, he was my Great grandfather x 6. Frederick Radcliffe was my grandmother's father. Nice to meet another relative! I've made some strides in finding out about some of the Radcliffe's that ended up in California. My great grandfather was quite naughty. Life there was very much the "wild west" in the late 1800's.

Looking at the data for the Manx families - wow, what a hard life they seem to have had. Losing so many children so early, or having them for several years then losing them to accident.

I am doing an online tutorial on genealogical research, hoping that will help focus my efforts and clarify the organizational bits that seem so overwhelming. Thank you again for your assistance.
