Hello Frances, Many thanks for your info. I did know about the Ballacloan home, I discovered my grandmother LOUISA JANE KINLEY on the 1881 census and her sister Agnes. I have printed the history of the Home for my files. Louisa is the one that I can't find on the census of 1891. No wonder they were so close even in old age because of their time together in the Home. My grandmother lived in Dovercourt, Essex until she died in 1952 aged 81 and she used to correspond to Agnes who was living in Shropshire. I spent many a happy Summer holiday visiting my grandparents by the sea. I will check all the other info a.s.a.p.
