Hello JC, I am new to this website and I am thrilled at the speed of info. Yes, I did know all about my ancestry via WWWAncestry.co.uk and Familysearch.org. My grandmother was Louisa Jane - sometimes spelt Luaser on the census. She never spoke about her childhood apart from the fact that I was told that she was born near the Laxey Mines and so I was very shocked to read that she and Agnes were in a children's home on the census of 1881.When I went into their history I realised the reason for this. I used to visit her and grandad with my parents for our Summer holidays in Dovercourt, Essex. She was always close to Agnes who eventually lived in Shropshire and they used to write many letters to each other. She died in 1952 aged 81 years. Many thanks for your research. I hope to visit the Isle of Man in September, my first holiday there.
