Contract is as follows:-

Articles of Matrimony agreed condescended and concluded upon by and between Wm Cowley and Catherine his wife in the behalf of their daughter Christin Cowley the one party and Mary Caine als Cannell in the behalf of her son John Caine the other party all of the parish of Kk Mich are as follows -

First It is agreed concluded and consented unto yt ye said young couple John and Christin shall enter into ye holy estate of matrimony at or before the 12th day of this instant, God and the holy Church permitting the same.

2dly It is agreed covenanted and consented unto yt the sd Wm Cowley and Catherine his wife to promise and oblige themselves to give in dowry or portion unto their Daughtr ye just sum of six pounds mankx value beside the portion of goods the sd daughter has of her own and named upon her as ye young couple has need off and ye sd Wm Cowley making a kill Cast of Lime for them within a years time.

3dly It is agreed covenanted and concluded upon yt the sd Mary Caine doth give and oblige her self and settle upon her sd son John Caine all her right that belongs to her in all the lands of Glon ne gaye or else where of Quarterland or Intack of what nature soever to enjoy and possess the same as Inheritance for ever after her decease the sd son allowing his mother ye sum of thirty shillings and the sd mother giving all her share of ye cropp of corn & hay after her decease to her sd son he paying to her Exer the sum of thirty shills and for the true performance of all ye foresd Articles and covenant all parties have found themselves in ye penalty and forfeiture of dubble the [??balance??] to be payd in nature of all fines in this Isle in witness whereof they have hereunto set their names & mrks August ye 4th 1729.

I'm trying to ascertain whether it is her father or her husband John Caine's family that had connection with Glen of the Geese.
