Eric Gelling's notes say that the Robert Gelling b 1807 who married Catherine Caine in Marown 4th Nov 1843, was a son of John Gelling b circa 1770 and Elinor Crellin. John and Elinor married in Braddan 13 Feb 1798.
Apparently Robert, Catherine and family emigrated to the USA.
