Margaret Shimmin, daughter of John Shimmin and Ann Gell, christened 4th.September 1818, is indeed part of our family.
sadly the rest of the details do not seem to tie in with the information we already have.
John Shimmin and Ann Gell were married in Patrick 17:11:1818, and they had five children.
Margaret, mentioned above, John 13:02:1807, Richard 22:11:1818, William 4:11:1821, and then my grandfather Philip 19:2:1818.
On the 1841 Census they were in Ballacain, Patrick, District 1, page 6&7 of 11, 1485/9.
If you do find any more information on either John Shimmin, or Ann Gell, we would love to hear from you.
There seem to be many possibilities but little proof to go futher back .
