Thank you Frances, & so much information, was good of you to take the time.
I will need to digest all this.
You have helped solve some of this disaster
On 2nd January 1895, another body of a crewman was found on the Calf of Man,
That was my definately my Uncle, family members it seems were told this at the time & did know his body made the shore.
It seems no further information was given, or at least lost over time.
He was supposed to have the ships papers with him, maybe thats a bit of family folklore?
Its very possible his grave & others were unmarked, needless to say in those days for an average family to travel to IOM would be a huge task.As would a head stone!
It would of been good to know where he lies, but seems virtually impossible to know where.
Once again many thanks for your time & effort, i guess he will just have to lie in peace where ever he lies.
My Grt Grt grand father,a fisherman from Crail, Scotland was also lost at sea & no records/details excist for him either!!
Thank you
Kind Regards
Ron
