> I must mention, that the best biographical article I ever found on my highly Wesleyan Manx ancestry was out of a newsclipping handed down in the family and purported to be from the Methodist Recorder of June 24, 1909. It was not an obituary but said my ancestor had been ill of late, mentioned her age, and then proceeded to tell all sorts of detailed biographical information. I've never found the actual paper on microfilm or anywhere else. Wasn't even able at the time to xerox the artifact so read its contents into a tape recorder. It's become an icon in my research and would be fun to see the actual paper from which it came. Might have to make the attempt sometime. Long story short. Not always obituaries in Methodist Recorder are edifying. She didn't die until 1913.
