I know this posting has been dormant for a while, but I'm in the process of researching this family for a gt-grandson of James Whitehead Clegg. Having already drawn the same conclusions as previous postings I was wondering if there are any new developments on this trail.
Being of Manx/Danish origin myself, I agree researching Manx origins can be full of pitfalls, and can only recommend employing the services of a local researcher.
Any Cleggs out there willing to share information?
