Probably no connection but my grandfather was James Vannan from Glasgow, Scotland. His wife was Jean and his kids, were John & Janet Vannan with a son Jim that died as a kid. They were also raised in Scotland then immigrated to Canada. They only stayed in Canada a couple of years then went back to Scotland. My dad has always told me that Vannan comes from the Isle a Man.
