My family has passed on info regarding my ggrandfather William Lester Mcbride, that he
was born on the Isle Of Man in 1826. His mother's name was Wimberly(I think). The family had interest in some kind of mine. His
parents died when he was very young and he
was taken care of by some of his parents family. I do know he came to the U.S by way
of Canada to New York, then to Mobile Alabama. Was told the family finally did make
a settlement him regarding the interest in the
mine. I'm anxious to find additional info on
his family for my genealogical research. He
always lists England as he birth country,but
as I indicated the Isle of Man was also mentioned as a possible summer home. Any
info will be greatly appreciated.
