I can tell you that Ballagyr was a farm, so very likely he was a farmer. Look for #66 on this map. This is part of a project I’m working on to identify all farms in the Isle of Man by cross referencing historic maps with Bing maps. Ballagyr lies on the Ramsey road just north of Peel as you leave town.
