Jane Cain married Thomas Kaighin May 4 1848 in the cathedral at Manchester.
By 1851 at Kirk Michael St. Peel,
Thomas Kaighin 33 Mason/Plasterer Peel
Jane 31 German
Thomas C. 11 days
Jane Joughin 18 Dressmaker Peel
Jane Joughin appears to be the daughter of John Joughin and Catherine Clucas ch 1833. John, in turn, appears to be the brother of Jane Joughin who married Caesar Cain.
The first child to Thomas Kaighin and Jane was christened Thomas Caesar therefore circumstantial evidence would suggest that Jane Cain is the daughter of Caesar Cain and Jane Joughin.
The Joughins, sometimes Joghan, came from the north (Andreas and Bride).
After the death of Jane Cain 1830 Caesar married Ann Shimmin. He appears to be the son of John Cain and Ellinor Wattleworth 1784 so I can't see a connection to the Cains of Ballaugh.
