Can anyone help me to find Robert Edward Craine born 1843 in Ramsey.
I have from the Onchan parish records - ROBERT EDWARD son of Robt Edward Craine, surgeon and Ellen Isabella his wife Pr bapt Sept 4th
1851 census he is with all of family at 115 Vine St, Ramsey aged 8
1861 census he is with father and family (mother died 1856) at 3 Court Row, Ramsey aged 18, unmarried, no occupation.
Then he completely disappears. I have graves for all of the family except him. (Even down to his mother being interred firstly at Maughold and the re-interred at Onchan 11 years later)
Has he skipped the island? To Ireland where his mother was born? To America or Australia? Any help greatly appreciated.
(Not to be confused with Robert Edward Craine b1882- advocate - his nephew)
