Maughold st was once the main road into Ramsey from Laxey direction - described as a very narrow thoroughfare it was replaced by Waterloo Road in the early 19th C (if you look at 1881 you will see the bottom end of Maughold street are also placed in Waterloo Rd as the two roads merged) - I have no willow cottage - it doesnt sound right for this part of old Ramsey
