I have just commenced working on my family history and came across mention on this site of Robert Stephen Moore, my great grandfather. He was born in the Isle of Man on 2 October 1866. He married Elizabeth Ann Kay on 15 May 1889.
They migrated to Australia. Robert Stephen Moore worked for the Silverton Tramway Company from 9 January 1891 to his retirement in 1931. He was employed as a porter and rose to station master of Burns Tramway Station (50 kms from Broken Hill) NSW Australia. I hope this information is of assistance to someone. I have information on Robert and Elizabeth's children if that would be useful.
As I said I am just a beginner and hope to learn more about your organisation and website as I continue on my family history adventure.
