I've got an Elinor Moughtin of Ballaugh who married Edward Cavendish of Kirk Michael 4 Mar 1823 at Ballaugh. I found 6 chidren for her and Edward in the Ballaugh register, and in the 1841 census she is, aged 45, at Balla Coarague, Ballaugh with husband Edward and 4 children.
The Manx Sun reported her death in Ballaugh village on 19th Mar 1851, 'wife of Edward Cavendish, commonly known as Ned-e-Niart'. Brian has a burial for Elinor Cavendish, 54, Jurby, 20 Mar 1851.

The IGI has Elinor Mughtin d. of Arthur Mughtin & Cath Cowley c.21 Aug 1796 Ballaugh. Brian happens to list a will for an Arthur Mougtin, 1810, Bal, A, 51, 0106237, which may or may not be the Elinor's father.

Can I ask you: have you come across Elinor before, would you be in a position to confirm her parentage, or have you got the Will of Arthur Moughtin, 1810?
