Born North Wales, took B.A. St Mary Hall, Oxford 1579; appointed Rector of Andreas and Archdeacon of Man 1587; 1590 appointed chaplain to Henry, Earl of Derby. Installed Bishop Feb 10 1604/5. Died 7 Aug 1633 and buried in St Germain's Cathedral (on St Patrick's Island).
