[From Manx Quarterly, #2 June 1907]
In the two previous years in which the Motor Derby has been run in the Isle of Man fine weather prevailed; this year the meteorological conditions were distinctly disappointing, for it rained incessantly. There were two races the International Tourist Trophy race and the Heavy Touring Car race and both were run simultaneously on Thursday 30th May, over the same course as last year. Twenty-two cars started in the T.T. race, and nine in the H.T.C. event. On account of the bad weather, extra fuel was allowed. Twelve cars finished in the sixth and last round of the T.T. race, and the winner was declared to be the 20 h.p. Rover car driven by Mr E. Courtis, and entered by Mr J. K. Starkey. The 16-20 hp Beeston-Humber, entered and driven by Mr T. E. Pullinger, was second
THE WINNER OF THE TOURIST TROPHY RACE.
The result of the Heavy Touring Car race was as follows:
1 30 h.p. Beeston-Humber, driven by Mr G.P. Mills, entered by Mr T.C.
Pullinger
2, 25 h.p. Gladiator, driven by Mr G. Fenton, entered by Mr F.C.
