THE King, to all his faithful subjects who may inspect these letters, greeting.

Know that we have taken into safe and sure conduct, our beloved and faithful Reginald, king of Man, and his men, whom he has brought with him, to the whole of our ability, in returning to his land of Man.

Therefore we command you, not to inflict or permit to be inflicted any evil, loss, or hinderance, neither upon the said Reginald, king of Man, nor upon his people. And this conduct shall endure to the Nativity of our Lord now at hand, in the fourth year of our reign.

And in testimony of this, &c.

Witness, Lord Peter, bishop of Winchester, at the New Temple, London, the 24th day of September, in the third year, &c.

REX omnibus ballivis et fidelibus suis, has litteras inspecturis, salutem.

Sciatis nos suscepisse in salvum et securum conductum dilectum et fidelem nostrum Reginaldum Regem de Man, et homines suos, quos secum duxerit, per totam potestatem nostram, in eundo versus terram suam de Man.

Et ideo vobis mandamus firmiter precipientes, quod nec eidem Reginaldo, Regi de Man, nec suis, malum, dampnum, aut impedimentum aliquid faciatis, aut fieri permittatis. Durebit antem conductus iste usque ad instans natale Domini, anno regni nostri quarto.

Et in hujus rei testimonium, etc.

Teste, domino Petro Wintoniensi episcopo, apud Novum Templum London, vicesimo quarto die Septembris, anno, etc., tertio.
