THE CASTLE CLOCK.

Recd this 6th Aprill 1764 from John Taubman Steward Seventeen shillings & six pence for three years cleaning the Castle Clock to 1st Janry 1764. p me

Richd Slater.

Richard Slater was Captain of Castle Rushen. His tombstone lies at the west door of Kirk 'Malew Church. He died in 1772 aged 67.
