MANXMEN RAIDING GALLOWAY.

" Simon Makcristin and Dominick M'Clellane robbed from John McKee of Myrtoune (Wigtownshire) certain oxen, horses, and sheep, as well as a quantity of barley and oats."

They were permitted to compound for " oppression done to the community of Wigtown, in taking the best merchandize coming in ships to the said burgh, and keeping thereof in their cellars, and to forcibly collecting the profits of the town and burrow lands."
