I beg you will please to inform the Right Honorable the Lords of His Majesties
Treasury, that by the late excessive Storms the Pier of Douglas in the Isle
of Man which had been built at very considerable expence, and was of the greatest
Security to His Majesty's Sloops and Navigation in General, in St George's Channel,
has been almost entirely destroyed.
The Ports of that Island being by the late purchase Vested in His Majesty, I thought it my duty to inform their Lordships of this unfortunate accident.
