His Majesty's Secretary of War having in his Letter to my Secretary of the 28th of March last past acquainted him, for my Information that it was His Majesty's Pleasure that the expence of transporting the Two Troops of Hales Dragoons from the Isle of Man to Ireland should be born by Great Britain and Mr George Carleton of Dublin, Merchant, who was employed by Me to provide Necessaries for that Service, having lately laid before The Lords Justices of Ireland, who have transmitted to me an account of the Expence thereof, amounting to the Sum of Two hundred and Thirty five pounds five shillings and five pence; And their Lordships having desired that the necessary Steps may be taken for obtaining the Speedy Payment of the said Sum, Net, to the said Mr Carleton, Therewith inclose the said Mr Carleton's said Account, and desire that your Lordships will obtain the proper Warrant for paying to the said George Carleton his assignee or asigns the said Sum of Sum of Two hundred and Thirty five pounds five shillings and five pence, clear of all Fees and Deductions whatsoever, in full Discharge of his said Account.

These Light Dragoons were moved to the Island on 28th June 1765 - their departure date is obviously pre 28th March 1766 - they "being judged neither requisite nor proper for the Defence thereof".
