Inmates of House of Industry - 1869

These are the names taken from the returns for the House of Industry made to High Bailiff Harris from the 1869 questionnaire re Poor Relief - they formed part of a much larger return for Douglas area. The questionaire asked for status as of 31st Dec 1868.

The original table had columns for Nationality (all Manx unless shown), all inmates were shown as totally dependent on charity.
