[Report ]No 5 [by Governor Wood 6 June 1763]

My Lord

By No 4 I did myself the honor to inform your Grace that I should remitte by Chas Lace all the money that could be got; And accordingly there is herewith sente £1900 in Cast & a Bill for £100 drawn by the Lord Bishop upon Mr Blundell of Liverpool in favour of the Receiver who has Indorsed it to Mr Tarleton for uour Grace's use; So that the Remittance Amounts to £2000 British.

By this same Opportunity your Grace will Receive Five Tythe Conveyances, and I am greatly at a loss how to proceed for the future in this Affair should your Grace follow Mr Kennedys Plan & sell those Tythes subject to the Incumbrances, The Conveyances must ve varyed to that Import, And I am afraid your Grace cannot get so high a Price as 35 years Purchases; But the Great Distress of [] my Council is how to Satisfy the Many who have paid the 35 years Purchase upon an Assurance of an Exemption from all Incumbances, I shall therefore be glad to know your Graces Pleasure in this Affair.

P.S. The disappointment your Grace may have mett with gives me great Concern, but it was Unavoidable as Captain Lace only arrived here this day; This Letter was wrote to be ready for his Call, as he often comes and goes at an hours warning; the Interim have produced £100, and one Tythe Deed more than are mentioned in the Letter, so that youir Grace will now receive six Tythe Deeds and a Remittance of Two Thousand Guineas, and am Sorry they have mett with so much delay
