STEAM PACKETS.

Dublin.—The Ben-my-Chree, every Tuesday at half-past nine am., returning from Dublin the following day; during the summer months only.

Fleetwood.—The Fenella, and Orien ply daily in summer, Sundays excepted, leaving Douglas at half-past eight, a m., and Fleetwood at noon: in winter, twice a week.

Liverpool.—The Tynwald, and King Orry, (carrying the mail) ply daily in summer, Sunday excepted, leaving Douglas at nine, am., and Liverpool at eleven a.m.: in winter, twice weekly. The Mona’s Isle, with passengers and cargo, also leaves for Liverpool every Tuesday, and Saturday, and leaves for Douglas every Monday and Friday as tide suits.

WHITEHAVEN.—The Ben-my-Chree leaves Douglas every Monday morning, returning the same evening, during the summer months only.

RAMSEY, GLASGOW, AND LIVERPOOL. —One of the Glasgow Packets call at Ramsey once a week in summer. W. Watkins, agent. The Mona’s Isle leaves Liverpool for Ramsey every Thursday, returning to Liverpool the folowing day at tide time.

STAGE COACHES.

FROM THE COACH OFFICE, MARKET PLACE.

At ten am., daily during the summer months, a coach leaves for Ramsey by way of St. John’s, Kirk Michael, Ballaugh, and Sulby; returning from Ramsey at four p.m.—Fare, there and back, 1s.

At the same time coaches start for Castletown, and Peel; returning at four p.m.—Fare, there and back, 3s.

On the arrival of the mail packet, coaches leave for Castletown, Peel, and Ramsey, by way of Laxey, and start from these several towns at ten am. following day — Fares, as above.

During the winter months coaches leave Douglas and Ramsey daily, at eleven a.m.

The prescribed Course of Education embraces the Greek and Latin Classics, Hebrew, the Mathematics, including Mensuration, Fortification, and Navigation, Arithmetic, and Merchants’ Accounts, Writing, History, Geography, English Grammar and Composition; and the Doctrines and Duties of Christianity, as taught by the United Church of England and Ireland
Pupils are expressly prepared for Entrance st Oxford, Cambridge, and Trinity College, Dublin
Pupils who are intended for the Army, Navy, or Mercantile pursuits, are permitted st or after the age of thirteen, to relinquish the study of Greek and Latin, and to devote their attention to such branches of Modern and Useful Literature as may be deemed desirable by their friends
Lectures on Natural Philosophy are periodically delivered, illustrated with the necessary Apparatus. These Lectures are entirely gratuitous, and open to the Public, and the students are subsequently examined on the subjects of them

There is an additional paymeut of 2s 6d per quarter to the College Chest, for the support of the Library, the purchase of Philosophical Apparatus, and the general benefit of the Pupils

These fees are to be paid to the Principal, quarterly, in advance; the first quarter st the time of the Pupils admission; the second st the next quarter day, and so on. The quarter days are, Jannary 1, March 15, August 1, October 15. Without the punctual payment of these quarterages, no Pupil will be received; nor if he be removed during any quarter, will any portion of that quarterage be returned
Boarders are received by the Principal and the Vice-Principal into the College at 25 Guineas per annum for boys, who are natives of the Island, and 30 Guineas for boys who are not; also by the Third Master, at similar rates; and a few Boarding-houses, kept by highly respectable persons, are sanctioned by the Principal. These Terms are exclusive in every case of the College Fees. The Board to be paid half-yearly. Each Pupil has a single bed.
Pupils must have completed their seventh year, at the least, and be able to read and write
A quarter’s notice of removal is required, or the quarter to be paid
VACATIONs—The months of June and July; a week at Christmas, and a week at Easter.
EXTRAS—French 15s per quarter; German, ditto; Drawing, ditto; Washing, Books, and Stationary, on moderate terms

The Course of Education embraces the following subjects:— viz, the English, Latin, Greek, French, Italian, German, and Spanish Languages; Composition; History and Chronology; Ancient and Modern Geography, with the use of the Globes Astronomy; Arithmetic, including Mental Caicuation ; Mathetnatics (Theoretical and Practical); Algebra; Elementary Science; Chemistry ; Religious Instruction ; Lessons on Objects; Writing and Book.keeping. The Systems adopted are those pursued in the most respectable Academies in Scotland

Practical Agriculture, if required, under the superintendence of Mr ALSTON, Sen., an experienced Scotch Agriculturast, while Agricultural Chemistry, and the other Branches of Education would at the same time be strictly sttended to
