"In the name of God. Amen. I Christian Stevenson of Largydoo but now in Castletown, being in perfect mind and memory but ... full of the uncertance of this mortal live, I do therefore make this my last will and testament in the Manner following: First, I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial in a private manner very early in the morning and to be interred in the same grace with my former husband Mr. John Kelly, deceased. Secondly, I leave and bequeath to the poor of the town of Peel town two guinea, to be given to them one month after my death. Thirdly I bequeath to the poor of the town of Douglas two guineas to be paid to them one month after my death. Fourthly, I leave and bequeath to the poor of the town of Caltletown two guineas. Fifthly, I leave and bequeath to my grandson John Kelly the sum of four hundred pounds, also the ... I have purchased from John Wattleworth his right and share of them which came by his mother for which I paid him four hundred and fifty pounds for. I also leave and bequeath to him a house joining the Whit Lyon which my mother left me, also a silver watch of my father, a silver tankard, and a large chiney ... .... Sixthly, I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Christian Kelly the sum of the two hundred pounds as her father had provided for her before. I also leave her a large ... spoon and four tablespoons, also ..., a feather bead, bolster & pillows, also four pair sheets and bolster ... and the pillow ... table cloth and towls, my warming .... Seventhly, I leave to my grandson John Wattleworth five guineas out of his note. Eighthly, I leave and bequeath to my grandson James Kelly Wattleworth the sum of twenty pounds out of his brother John's note. Ninethly, I leave and bequeath to Christian Wattleworth the sum of five pounds to be taken out of her brother John W's note. Tenthly, I leave and bequeath to my daughter in law Mrs Kelly three guineas for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Mr. Edward Moore and his wife each two guineas for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Mr. James Moore and his wife each a guinea for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Mr. Edward Clark and his wife a guinea each for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Miss Ann Clark a guinea for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Colonel Wood and his wife each a guineas for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Miss Sarah Clark a guniea for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Miss Elizabeth Moore a guniea for a ring. I leave and bequeath Mrs. Joseph Clark a guinea for a ring. I leave and bequeath to Mr Thomas Wattleworth a guinea out of his son John's note. I leave and bequeath John Moore Largydoo son called Stevenson a guinea. Lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my grandson John Kelly all the rest of my effects, bonds, and notes whatsoever after paying all just debt and legacies. And I do also appoint my nephew Mr. Edward Moore of Douglas and Mr Cotten of Castletown to be guardian in trust of my two grandchildren John & Christian Kelly and those ... to be at interest till they attain to the age of twenty-one years. This being my last will, in testimony whereof I have ... my name this seventeenth of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifteen. Know all men by them present that I Christian Catharine Kelly of Castletown, spinster, a legatee named in the last will and testament of Mrs. Christian Stevenson, deceased, do hereby own and acknowledge to have received and to be fully paid . . .[signed 3 Oct 1822] Christian Catherine Kelly."
