At an Ecclesiastical Court holden in the Court-house in the Parish of Kirk Patrick DOUGLAS on the eighteenth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four.
WILLIAM LEECE late of the Town of Douglas, Merchant and SOPHIA LEECE otherwise CALLON his wife having lately departed this life intestate and the Court having received Intelligence thereof hath Decreed their four Children namely WILLIAM JOHN, SOPHIA and ANN LEECE Co-administrators of all and singular their Goods, Rights, Credits, Chattels and Effects movable and immovable whatever, and they all being under Age, their Relations namely JAMES DRINKWATER of Liverpool, Merchant and WILLIAM DRINKWATER his son have, by the Consent of the other next of Kin of the said Orphans, the Administration of the Estates of the said Intestators committed to them in Trust for the said Orphans and all other Persons interested therein, and thay are thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the same, to exhibit a.full, true and perfect Inventory and Accounts. Sale thereof into the Episcopal Registry of the Diosese, to pay all the just Debts of the said Intestates so far forth as their Goods and Effects will extend and the Law bind and to render a true and just Account of their said Administration when thereunto lawfully required, and to these Ends they have Given Pledges in Form of Law - namely JAMES COWLE of Ballaquane in the Parish of Kirk German Esquire and WILLIAM BANKS of Douglas, Shopkeeper.
JOHN LEECE of Cronk-freij Gentleman, Uncle to the said Orphans on their Father's Side and GEORGE CALLON of Douglas, Shopkeeper, their Uncle on their Mother's Side are sworn their Guardians and Supervisors.
